PRAYER
We need prayer like we need food and drink. Praying together helps our own prayer life, so we are looking for ways to make that happen.

Prayer is wonderful because it's about talking to God and listening to God, but most Christians find it quite challenging - especially in the age of social media, Youtube and Spotify!!

Some ways we aim to pray together: in our small groups; every Sunday at church; at our Church Together Night; with friends; prayer walking around town; dedicating times to prayer and worship; prayer and fasting.

Here is the prayer that Jesus taught his followers to pray: it is just as powerful to pray in Jesus' name now as it was 2000 years ago

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one,
for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory for ever.
Amen.
