Peoples Church Summary

Who are we?

People’s church is a vibrant church situated in the heart of Partington on the edge of Manchester.  Established as a missional church over 50 years ago. The church’s vision is to reach out to the whole cross section of the community; engaging with, and reaching out to, the Community is still our focus.  We desire to be a Bible based, Spirit filled people of hope, joy and grace that makes a difference in our local community.  We have an active series of ministries focused on discipleship, pastoral care and local community events.

Ministerial Profile Summary

Who are we looking for?

We believe we need a minister who will enable the church so that we continue to see growth from mission within the area, whilst those within the church are strengthened and deepened in their relationship with God; being equipped and released to serve.

 

A minister who can develop the gifting of members, leaders and emerging leaders across the different facets of church life. We are looking for someone who has a passion for spiritual renewal, the use of spiritual gifts within the church whilst maintaining evangelical biblical theology.

 

We are currently working through the Baptist Union Settlement process to discern God’s calling for a new minister, we are also happy to receive applications from ministerial applicants who are not part of the BU process but meet the criteria.

 

  • Applicants should have relevant ministerial training and be willing to undertake ministerial accreditation with the Baptist Union.

  • It is a condition of the appointment that the minister undertakes the safeguarding training as specified by the Ministerial Recognition Committee of the Baptist Union.

  • Applicants must be a UK resident and have the right to work in the UK. Peoples Church is unable to sponsor applications from outside the UK where a work/residence visa is required.

  • it is a condition of the appointment that the minister holds a DBS certificate indicating that they are not unsuitable for working with children, young people and adults at risk.
